2008 Luis Pato Quinta do Ribeirinho 94
 A brilliant Bairrada DOC from Luis Pato. Deep in colour, it has an understated, almost leafy bouquet with stunning definition and freshness, with scents of small dark cherries, raspberry leaf, autumn leaves and a touch of camphor. The palate delivers just 13% alcohol but is packed full of flavor and is defined by its exquisite balance and poise. So much freshness, firm tannins, very focused with a touch of leafiness just coming through on the finish that has just a touch of orange sorbet lingering on the aftertaste. Wonderful. Tasted October 2011.
